The lab was located within a facility called "The Seven Domes". The implants were removed under duress and without anaesthetic, in order to preserve the function of the devices. One such victim was Icheb, who served aboard the USS Voyager in 2376 and 2377. He was held captive at the facility in 2386 and was undergoing forced removal of his remaining implants when Seven of Nine attacked in an attempt to rescue him. She killed the doctors holding him captive. Icheb's injuries were too severe and he asked that she kill him to end his suffering, which she reluctently agreed to, killing him with a phaser shot to the heart. [2]
Valeo Beta V [3] Valeo Beta V was an L class planet located at coordinates 2755.9753. It had a rotational period of 19.9 hours and a year lasted 221.4 solar days. Its mass was estimated to be 5.03912 x 1024 Kg. It was estimated to be 4.3 x 109 solar years old. It had a mean surface temperature of -14°C. Hemmer commented that it reminded him of Andoria. [3]

Its atmosphere was made up of 61% Nitrogen, 3% Oxygen, 0.4% Carbon Dioxide, 0.4% Argon and 0.3% Nitrous Oxide. It also contained trace amounts of Methane, Carbon Monoxide, and Neon. The upper atmosphere contained large amounts of charged nitrate ions that produced ionic interference, preventing both scanners, communications and transporters from operating. [3]
Veridian III [4] The third planet in the Veridian system. Veridian II was a Class M world but did not have a sentient native population. Dr Tolian Soren set up his Trilithium weapon here in 2371, intending to use it to destroy the Veridian star and so alter the course of the nexus, allowing him to enter it. The plan succeeded, destroying Veridian II and all the other planets in the system. Fortunately Captain Picard and Admiral Kirk were able to travel back in time and prevent Soren from launching his weapon, moving those events into an alternate timeline. Captain Kirk was killed in the effort, and was buried in a stone cairn on a mountaintop on the planet.

The Enterprise-D engaged in battle with a Klingon Bird of Prey in orbit of Veridian system, leading to the loss of the ship. The saucer section crashlanded on Veridian III. The bulk of the crew survived and were subsequently rescued. [4]

Veridian II [4] The second planet in the Veridian system. Veridian II was uninhabited. There were two moons orbiting the planet along with a ring system. On the alternate timeline created by Dr. Soren's destruction of the Veridian sun, Veridian II and the other planets in the system were destroyed. [4]

In the alternate timeline created by Dr. Soren's destruction of the Veridian sun, Veridian IV and the other planets in the system were destroyed. [4]
Veridian I [4] The first planet in the Veridian system. Veridian I was uninhabited. There was a single moon orbiting the planet. On the alternate timeline created by Dr. Soren's destruction of the Veridian sun, Veridian I and the other planets in the system were destroyed. [4]
Veridian V [4] The fifth planet in the Veridian system. Veridian V was uninhabited. There was one moon orbiting the planet. On the alternate timeline created by Dr. Soren's destruction of the Veridian sun, Veridian V and the other planets in the system were destroyed. [4]
