A police officer in San Francisco during 2024, Bernardo had a partner named Sonya who disliked the long hours he worked. Barnardo was not a great supporter of the Sanctuary district laws in force in the USA at this time, but he was prepared to uphold them. [2] He was one of the hostages held during the Bell riots; his life was saved by the man known to history as Gabriel Bell. [1]
