A species which was considered to be spiritually important by the Ankari. The bodies of these creatures yielded a substance which greatly improved the effectiveness of warp drive, and the crew of the Equinox killed many of them to assist them in their journey home. [1] The Equinox was eventually destroyed in retaliation. [2]
