Human male, brother of La'An. Manu and his sister La'An were on the SS Puget Sound when it was attacked by the Gorn. They were taken to a Gorn nursery planet and he was subsequently killed. Before his death he worked out the method the Gorn used to communicate between ships, which used flashes of light. This information was later remembered by La'An and was used to help to rescue the USS Enterprise. [1]
