An Antaran, Hudak was injured in 2153 when the reactor casing on ship he was travelling aboard fractured. He refused to be treated by Phlox because of his people's bitter history of conflict with the Denobulans. Eventually Phlox was able to convince Hudak to allow the treatment, and the two reached a degree of understanding with one another. Phlox pointed out that several Denobulans were travelling aboard the ship Hudak departed on and suggested that he continue to break down his prejudice by getting to know them. [1]
