A Hakkonian, Dr. Jetrel developed the Metreon Cascade weapon which was used to end the war with the Talaxians by destroying the entire population of the moon Rhinax. Jetrel spent years wracked with guilt over his actions, and by 2371 he believed that he had created a way to recover the victims of the cascade from the atmosphere of Rhinax. The attempt failed, and Jetrel died shortly afterwards. [1]
