Sister of Tasha Yar, Ishara remained on the Turkana IV colony when her sister left. Ishara joined one of the local factions on the planet; when the Enterprise-D attempted to rescue some Federation personnel abducted by another faction, Ishara helped them as a way of gaining access to and shutting down her enemy's defences. The attempt was foiled by Lieutenant Commander Data. [1]
