Ensign Duke served aboard the USS Enterprise in 2258 and was prompoted to Lieutenant shortly before being chosen for an away mission to Valeo Beta V to discover the fate of the USS Peregrine that had crash landed on the planet some days ago. [1]Whilst on board the crashed ship he suffers a burn on the forearm which requires medical treatment. As he is being treated he is attacked by a young Gorn and several bitten. His body is then dragged away by the Gorn. [1]
