Notes

The Son'a operate both a large Battleship-type vessel and this smaller ship. [3] The Destroyer is designed for general purpose combat duties. The ship has an armament comparable to Federation designs of the same size, except in its use of subspace weaponry. The Destroyer mounts a single launcher for Isolitic devices, of which it carries twenty in all.

The Federation gathered considerable information on this vessel during the brief alliance with the Son'a, and this proved to be highly useful when they allied themselves with the Dominion in the latter stages of the war. Starfleet was able to take a heavy toll on the Destroyers, accounting for almost half the total number.

Most of this entry is speculative. The length and beam come from a production drawing showing the ship next to the Enterprise-E. I don't know for sure that this ship is fitted with subspace weapons, but I assume that all Son'a ships are. The idea that the Son'a become Dominion allies is something I don't know for sure, but I recall somebody saying it was mentioned in a late DS9 episode.

The stats are designed to make the ship much weaker than the Enterprise, since the Sovereign class ship was able to inflict significant damage with just a few shots. It's not official that the ship is actually classed as a Destroyer - even production drawings just call it "Ru'afo's ship"
