Notes
The USS Stardiver was a Starfeet vessel working as a solar research vessel. In 2259 it was operating in the Shangdi system when it observed a an unusual series of coronal mass ejections. Almost immediately the ship was attacked by the Gorn and destroyed. One crew member, Lieutenant Scott, managed to escape in a shuttle. He produced a transponder using parts from the Stardiver's Hubble K7C Stellar Assessment Array. That was able to fool the Gorn into seeing the shuttle as one of their own. Escaping the system the ship crashed landed on Parnassus Beta just as the Gorn arrived there.
