Khitomer

Planets List
Universe : Prime Timeline
Name : Khitomer [1]

Site of important peace conferences between the Federation and Klingon Empire in 2293. The location was chosen as it was considered by the Klingons to be a neutral location. [1]

By the 2340s, Khitomer was a Klingon world, the site of a colony. It was attacked by the Romulans in 2346. Thanks to the betrayal of the Duras family the attack was a complete success, resulting in the massacre of 4,000 colonists. [2] The House of Mogh was almost destroyed in the attack, though the infant Worf was rescued by a Starfleet officer whose ship responded to the attack. [3]

Other Klingons were captured in the attack, and kept in Romulan captivity for decades afterwards. [4]

In 2381 Khitomer was one of the Alpha Quadrant planets targeted in the Borg attack. The USS Ranger managed to defeat the first Borg attack, but not the second, the planet was completely devastated in the attack [5]
