T'Rul was assigned to the USS Defiant by the Romulan government in order to operate the ship's cloaking device during the mission to contact the Dominion. A rather abrupt person, she was not terribly friendly with the rest of the crew. [2] T'Rul was subsequently withdrawn, and the Defiant continued to operate the cloaking system without Romulan supervision. [1]
