TimelineQuotes
Universe : Prime Timeline
Name : Thaddeus "Thad" Troi-Riker [1]
Species : Humans / Betazoids

Son of William T. Riker and Deanna Troi. "Thad" was Human on his father's side and half Human half Betazoid on his mother's. He was mostly brought up on starships and was fascinated with the concept of having a homeworld. He also had a love of languages, inventing many of his own which he shared with his younger sister Kestra. [1]

When he was infected with Mendaxic Neurosclerosis, a silicon virus, doctors said that the only cure was to culture the affected cells in an active positronic matrix. The problem was that the Federation ban on synthetic life meant that there were no active positronic matrices in existence any more. In a last ditch attempt to help Thad, he and his family moved to the planet Nepanthe, which was known for its regenerative properties. He came to think of the planet as his own homeworld. Ultimately, the plan was unsuccessful and Thad passed away. His family remained on the planet after his passing. [1]
