Zier was a female Ensign who served on board the USS Enterprise in 2259. She was attempting to complete "Enterprise Bingo" along with Ensign Christina, a game played by junior officers which involved completing a series of difficult tasks without being caught by the senior staff. Unfortunately she was caught by La'an and Number One before while attempting a space walk in order to "sign the scorch" a mark left by battle damage found on the exterior of the ship. She was punished by being made to micro clean the transporter pads. [1]
