Shinzon

TimelineQuotes
Universe : Prime Timeline
Name : Shinzon [1]
Species : Humans

Shinzon was originally concieved as part of a Romulan plot to replace Captain Picard with a clone loyal to the Romulan Empire. The plan was abandoned whilst he was still a child and Shinzon was sent to the Reman mines. He prospered there, and came to be a great leader for the Remans during the Dominion war. Shinzon had a great resentment of Captain Picard and of the Federation, and became determined to destroy both. To this end he seized control of the Romulan Empire after assassinating the entire senate, and lured the Enterprise-E to Romulus. Shinzon's DNA had originally been designed to allow him to age rapidly so as to allow him to replace Picard, but once the plan was abandoned this sequencing was never activated. This caused his cellular structure to begin breaking down; the only cure was a transfusion which would drain Picard's entire blood volume. Shinzon captured Picard whilst he was at Romulus, but Picard escaped thanks to Data's assistance. Shinzon launched a fierce battle against the Enterprise-E in his flagship, the Scimitar; both ships suffered considerable damage. Picard beamed to the Scimitar and, with Data's assistance, managed to kill Shinzon. [1]
