Commander D'Chok was the captain of a Klingon D7 class Battle Cruiser. He was a member of one of the great houses of thee Klingon Empire. His ship was present at Cajitar IV when an apparent Federation ship left the surface and started an attack run on his ship, apparently while being followed by the USS Enterprise. The Enterprise then destroyed the lead Federation ship. [1]

Surprised, D'Chok contact the Enterprise demanding an explanation. Spok was able to explain that the destroyed ship was manned by rebel Klingons in an attempt to rekindle the Klingon-Federation war. Initially skeptical he insisted on meeting Spock face to face over a vat of Blood Wine, claiming he could always discovery the truth in such meetings. Spock was able to convince D'Chok of his honesty and broken a peace deal between the two races, resolving the crisis. [1]
