Rura Pente Commander Koth

NotesImages
TimelineQuotes
Universe : Prime Timeline
Name : Rura Pente Commander Koth [1]
Species : Klingons

The commander of the infamous Klingon penal asteroid of Rura Pente during Captain Kirk's brief stay in 2293. Koth was part of the conspiracy to derail the peace process between the Federation and the Klingons, answering to General Chang. To that end he was to assassinate Kirk and McCoy, diverting suspicion by making it appear that they had been killed whilst attempting escape. [2]

He had the Chameloid inmate Martia help Kirk and McCoy to get out of the prison, leading them to a rendezvous with Koth and his men. He killed Martia there so as to leave no witnesses to the scheme. Koth agreed to tell Kirk who the conspirators were, since he planned to kill him anyway, but Kirk and McCoy were beamed away by the Enterprise moments before he did so. [2]
