Oh yeah, I forgot to mention: The only other sci-fi I really enjoy is Star Wars and Firefly.

So who are we?

I'll start with the introductions. Feel free to respond with as much or little information about yourselves as you wish. I'm Bryan Moore (obviously). I'm 24, from Enfield, Connecticut, USA. I'm a social studies teacher with a Bachelor of Arts in US History and am about to finish Masters of Science i...

There are a few really impressive shots, and in general the colors were cleaned up very well. But I believe the CGI in some spots is a bit too unreal. For instance, many times when the Enterprise flies by, I think "Oooh cartoons!" It's like they replaced one fake looking model with another...

Exact same format, but with Frakes forced to be running on a treadmill throughout the entire episode. Okay, perhaps not. I liked the basic framework of the episode, honestly. I simply would have made it focus more on the Enterprise crew and less on Riker/Troi. That being said, give Trip a prop...

I always thought about that. The problem with the mirror universe is that it was so far over the top, that it worked for an episode or two at a time. But any more than that, and I think you'd have a lot of people rolling their eyes. In my opinion, even pulling it off as much as they did on DS9 was i...

Poll Discussion: Which civilization...

Okay, so I'm up for discussing which civilization I'd most like to live in. As expected, Bajor has the most votes, as, lets be honest, it's closest to Earth, and there's a certain familiarity there. I chose the Dominion. Why? Well, we see very little of what subjects of the Dominion are treated like...

I believe it was done purposefully, to leave fans unsettled, as it was such a poor way to go out. I agree fully, but I believe it was intended to be shown as such. If nothing else, at least the crash was pretty intense and worthy of the big screen. And if you think that 1701-D went out like a chump,...

I think even in the violence, though, DS9 clearly sent non-violent messages, as the war was represented as horrendous, futile, etc. There was no glorification of war, but rather, it was portrayed as the last measure after all diplomatic solutions were exhausted.

Easy... Firefly/Star Trek crossover! Jayne weds Dr. Crusher and quickly uses "Vera" to dispatch Wesley. Okay, not really. I'm in relative agreement with good Captain: Straight to DVD would be interesting, or as I have mentioned in occasional conversations with a friend, a yearly miniseries...
