Guest Cast :
YATI :
Neelix claims that Chakotay is a vegetarian in this episode. Yet at the beginning of the last episode, Neelix served him up a helping of Nubian Quail made by Seven of Nine and the Commander tucked in without hesitation.
Great Moment :
The Quarren city really is an amazingly well done bit of special effects.
Body Count :
Zero so far as we know. Various radiation injuries are inflicted on Voyager's crew, and it's possible some Quarren died in the battle scenes, but we don't see anybody die on screen.
Factoid :
Tom Virtue also played Baxter in the Voyager episode "Eye of the Needle".

Plotline

The episode opens with Janeway hurrying to her new job as an engineer in a power plant on a heavily industrialised planet. Other Voyager crewmembers are also working there, all apparently having given up their life on Voyager. Back at the ship Chakotay, Kim and Neelix arrive to find the Emergency Command Hologram the only one aboard. He tells then that the ship hit subspace mine and had to be evacuated, and he hasn't seen the crew since. They get the ship operational again and track down their comrades on the planet Quarrel, a planet on which there is a severe labour shortage. The authorities don't believe Chakotay's abduction story, so he lands in disguise with Neelix and they recover B'Elanna. Unfortunately, Chakotay is wounded and trapped on the planet whilst Voyager is driven out of orbit by the planet's defence systems.
