Plotline

B'Elanna discovers that she is pregnant, and when the EMH does a projection of what the baby will look like based on its DNA she is shocked to find that her daughter will have Klingon head ridges. Desperate to avoid inflicting the misery of her own childhood on her daughter, B'Elanna wants to modify the baby in vitro to remove the ridges. When Tom and the EMH object on ethical grounds, B'Elanna feels that she has no other choice but to take drastic measures.
