During the last scene, McCoy is shown wearing a yellow uniform rather than a blue one.
Factoid :
This episode shows the Enterprise's hangar bay doors opening from the outside, something never once seen in TOS because the cost was too high.

Nurse Chapel is called 'Lieutenant' in this episode, establisheing for the first time what her rank is.

My year for this episode is estimated from the Stardate; it is one of a group of TAS episodes set between 'The Empath' and 'The Mark of Gideon'.

This episode is a nominee for the DITL "Best of Trek" award.
