Plotline

The crew responds to a distress signal and they travel to assist. It turns out to be Nandi, a Ferengi smuggler who raised Dal. Nandi's ship has cloaking technology that can be powered by chimerium crystals. The Protostar has a supply of these onboard. Nandi offers the technology to the crew if they help her retrieve a remalite crystal from a nearby planet. Janeway warns that interfering with the civilization on the planet would be a violation of the Prime Directive. Dal decides to help Nandi steal the crystal anyway.

When they realize that the removal of the crystal has caused damage to the planet, the crew steal it back and return it. Nandi, however, escapes with their chimerium.
