Universe : Prime Timeline
Name : Professor Gideon Seyetik [1]
Species : Humans

Widely regarded as one of the Federation's greatest minds - especially by himself - Seyetik was a terraformer, artist, reknowned chef and author. His life was so extraordinary that his autobiography consisted of no less than nine volumes. Seyetik had many wives in his life, but they tended to tire of him quickly and leave him after a few years. When he married Nidell, a Halarnan woman, Seyetik expected the marriage to go much like the others. In fact Halarnans mate for life, and although Nidell became increasingly unhappy she could not leave her husband. By 2370 the situation had deteriorated to a point where Nidell's telepathic abilities were manifesting an unconcious version of herself to others in an attempt to relieve her of the stress of her situation. Seyetik in turn was finding his life troublesome; his whole career had consisted of one great accomplishment after another, culminating in the effort to re-ignite the dead star Epsilon-119. Fearing that he would never be able to top this achievement, and fearing that the situation with his wife was reaching a dangerous state, Seyetik committed suicide by personally piloting the shuttle containing his equipment into Epsilon-119. [1]
