A member of the Shakaar terrorist group, Furel was a close friend of Kira Nerys. He had only one arm, having lost the other whilst rescuing his friends from a Cardassian detention centre during the Occupation. Furel took part in the uprising against the Bajoran government led by Shakaar in 2371. [2]He was murdered in 2373 by Silaran Prin in revenge for a bombing in which he had been seriously injured during the occupation. [3]
