Captain of the USS Bozeman, Bateson was thought lost in 2278 when the ship vanished in an anomaly. In fact the Bozeman was thrown forward through time where it became trapped in a repeating time loop with the Enterprise-D. The two ships finally managed to break the loop, leaving Bateson in the 24th century. [1]
