Review
The discovery of an alien mold on Ravanar IV seemed routine, though a little curious given the enormous amount of information contained within its genome. But when the USS Constellation sent the discovery back to Starfleet, they kicked off a major and highly classified project to extend Federation influence into the area. But with the Tholians determined to react to this action with military force, and the Klingons forever waiting to take any advantage of weakness, the new Starbase Vanguard which is the centre of the effort faces enemies on all sides.
