 [1] Klingon officer, Kurn, arrives on the Enterprise to take over as First Officer under Starfleet's officer exchange program. Kurn proves to be Worf's brother, whose identity has been kept secret since he survived the Khittomer massacre in 2346. Kurn and Worf travel to the Klingon home world in an attempt to clear their father's name after he is blamed for the massacre. Worf ultimately decides to allow his family to take the blame in order to preserve the political unity of the Empire, and accepts Discommendation. [2]

Picture from 2368  [3] After discovering that the Romulans are assisting the Duras family, Starfleet sends a fleet to the Romulan-Klingon border commanded by Captain Picard. The fleet is successful in preventing Romulan border crossings. Gowron's forces defeat the Duras family, although the sisters Lursa and B'Etor escape. [3]
