One of several petty warlords who were in effective control of the Qiris sector of the beta quadrant in the late 2390s. Kantar had access to an antique Bird of Prey and used it to control space between Vashti and Daimanta. [1]

In 2399 Kar Kantar used his Bird of Prey to attack the ship that ex-Admiral Picard used to visit Vashti. Unfortunately for Kantar, Picard received assistance from Seven of Nine, who was part of the Fenris Rangers at that time. Together the two ships managed to disable Kantar's ship by severing the right nacelle pylon. [1]
