A resident of the Federation/Cardassian demilitarised zone, Amaros became a member of the Maquis in response to the Cardassian's shipping weapons into the area to arm their own population. He was involved in the kidnapping of Gul Dukat in 2370, though Dukat found him somewhat unintimidating. [2]
