Tiko was a Kalar from the planet Rigel VII. He worked in the place as a guard and as such the ore in his helmet protected him from the radiation that caused memory loss each night. [1]Tiko was one of he guards on duty when Pike and his away party landed on Rigel VII. He took them captive and delivered them to the King in the Palace. He informed them that he knew their true identities and they soon discovered that the King was non-other than USS Enterprise yeoman Zac Nguyen, who had used his advanced knowledge to make himself King. [1]Zac ordered that they be taken out of the palace and be put in a cage overnight, knowing that the is would cause them to loose their memory. Indeed the following morning Pike, Noonien-Singh and M'Benga did not know who each other were. Tiko ordered them to be put to work in the fields. When they didn't respond fast enough he was going to lock them back in the cage, but another native Luq intervened and took them to work. [1]
