Son of Professor Starnes, Tommy was one of the children who accompanied the Starnes expedition to Triacus in 2268. He became a follower of the noncorporeal entity named Gorgan whilst on the planet. Tommy attempted to take control of the ship by using the abilities which Gorgan had given him to manipulate the crew. Gorgan's control over Tommy was broken when Captain Kirk forced him to confront the death of his parents on the expedition. [1]
