Universe : Prime Timeline
Name : Narek [1]
Species : Romulans

Narek was a Romulan male, brother of Narissa. [2] Their parents were killed while they were both young and their aunt, Ramdha, took over their care. Eventually both Ramda and Narissa joined the Zhat Vash and experienced the Admonition, while Ramdha lost her mind during the experience, Narissa was the only one to survive unharmed. [3] Narek also wanted to join but washed out and was thought of as the family disgrace. [4].

In 2399 he pretended to join the "Romulan Reclamation Program" on board The Artifact [1] in order to get close to Soji Asha in an attempt to discover her origins. He was so convincing that she believed he was in love with her, however, once he discovered her homeworld he attempted to kill her. She escaped his trap and fled the Cube with Picard. [5] Narek followed the ship that Picard had arrived on in an attempt to find her again. [6] He was able to follow the ship using a tracking device that was swallowed by Agnes Jurati [3] at the request of Commodore Oh, Director of Starfleet security. [7] When Agnes realised he was tracking them via her, she injected herself with a hydrogen compound, disabling the tracker and causing her to go into a temporary coma. [6]

When Narek was unable to continue to track the ship he waited near a transwarp conduit in an attempt to reacquire them at a later time. The ploy was successful and Narek was able to follow them back to Coppelius. [6] Once there, his ship was attacked by the orbital defence orchids and crashed on the surface of the planet. [3] There he was captured by the androids and locked in a cell. Sutra, an android from the planet, killed Saga, one of her own sisters and blamed it on Narek by releasing him from his cell. [8]

After release he went to the Borg Cube in order to locate his sister, which he managed to do. She set him the task of destroying the transmitter that would be used to contact the higher androids. In order to achieve this he then went to La Sirena and talked Rios, Raffi and eventually Elnor into assisting him. Their plan was nearly successful but Soji caught the drone carrying the explosives and threw it into the sky. [4]
