Captain of the Vulcan ship Ni'var, Sopek attempted to rescue Captain Archer in 2151 when he and T'Pol were kidnapped on Coridan. Sopek favoured a military approach to the situation, and clashed somewhat with both commander Tucker and Shran. [1]
