First Officer of the NX-01 in the Mirror universe, Archer heard rumours that the Tholians had gained posession of an advanced Earth ship which had emerged from an interphase rift. When Captain Forrest refused to investigate, Archer took command of the ship. Although Forrest managed to regain command, Starfleet backed Archer's plan and the ship proceeded to investigate the rumour. [1] Archer found the Defiant and managed to take control of it after the NX-01 was destroyed by the Tholians. He used the ship to inflict a defeat on the rebel fleer, then headed to Earth to claim the throne for himself. On the brink of success, Archer was killed when his drink was poisoned by Hoshi. [2]
