A Romulan operative, Taibak was a specialist in mind control techniques. He was in charge of the effort to brainwash Geordi La Forge in 2367, and was successful in turning the engineer into a Romulan operative. The Romulan plot to have La Forge murder the Klingon governor Vagh was foiled by Picard after Data managed to identify the mind control method which had been used. [1]
