A worker on a Malon waste disposal vessel, Pelk was forced to abandon his ship in 2375 when a series of systems failures threatened to cause the radioactive waste to escape. He was rescued by Voyager and subsequently returned to the ship with an away team to prevent the disaster. Pelk was killed during the mission. [1]
