Ensign Maurer served aboard the USS Enterprise in 2261, when it was captured by a massive alien scavenger ship. She backed up the Captain and La'An when they attempted to disrupt the umbilical that was draining the ship of power. Unfortunately, some of the scavenger crew had boarded the Enterprise and one shot Maurer, fatally wounding her. She died moments later bleeding out. [1]
