A Tholian, Velrene [The Azure] was a member of the Tholian ruling body. In 2265 she took part in a discussion on the Political Castemoot Sublink of the Tholian telepathic lattice concerning the Federation intrusion into the Taurus Reach. She argued that the Tholians had deliberately left the "Shedai Sector" unclaimed, and should ignore the Federation presence. During the course of the conversation she experienced the massively powerful alien thought pulse which disrupted the lattice. [1]
