Quinn

TimelineQuotes
Universe : Prime Timeline
Name : Quinn [1]
Species : Q

A member of the Q, Quinn spent several centuries imprisoned in the centre of a comet nucleus after he became bored with life in the continuum and began advocating suicide. As such he was an inspiration for the rebellious nature of the Q often encountered by the Enterprise-D. Quinn was released from imprisonment by Voyager in 2372 and requested asylum on the vessel. During a hearing into the matter Q removed Quinn's powers, leading Janeway to suggest that he become a member of Voyager's crew since living as a mortal might rekindle his interest in life. Quinn ultimately decided to proceed with his suicide anyway, and poisoned himself shortly afterwards. Quinn's death had significant repercussions - it inspired Q to become more rebellious once again [1], and was a major causal factor in the Q civil war which followed shortly afterwards. [2]
