A Talaxian child, Palaxia was a resident of the moon Rinax during the war with the Haarkonians. She was very badly injured when the Metreon Cascade was used against her moon. In the aftermath of the cascade Neelix discovered Palaxia amongst the survivors; so badly was she disfigured that at first he did not even realise that she was a person. Although he brought her back to Talax with him she slowly died over the next few weeks. The incident haunted Neelix for many years afterwards. [1]
