Captain of an alien vessel encountered by Voyager in 2375, Yost was preparing to seal a subspace sinkhole which had ensnared many of his people's ships. Fortunately Voyager was able to rescue Paris and Tuvok from the sinkhole, along with their friend Nos, before Yost completed his mission. [1]
