A Talaxian child, Brax was the son of Dexa. He was one of the Talaxians who lived on an asteroid settlement encountered by Voyager in 2377. Unlike most of his people Brax did not have any distrust of strangers, and was fascinated to meet Neelix when his shuttle crashlanded on the asteroid. Brax visited Voyager with his mother whilst Captain Janeway was attempting to negotiate a settlement between the Talaxians and a group of miners intent on destroying their asteroid. Brax enjoyed a tour of the ship, including some time spent on the holodeck with Naomi. Neelix chose to remain on the asteroid after having developed a romantic attachment with Brax's mother Dexa. [1]
