Rak was a Kalar from the planet Rigel VII. He worked in the place as a guard and as such the ore in his helmet protected him from the radiation that caused memory loss each night. [1]

Rak was one of he guards on duty when Pike and La'An caused a fight while working in the fields breaking rocks. After a struggle he was knocked unconscious by Pike. When another guard attempted to hit Pike La'An came to the rescue, using the hammer she had been using to break rocks. The guard eventually go the upper hand and sliced La'An's stomach with his sword. [1]
