A Tellarite Starfleet officer, Loak was an impulse drive assistant supervisor on board the USS Bombay in 2365. He briefly shared a room with Lieutenant Xiong during that time, where his personal habits proved to be an extreme irritation - was prone to whistling and humming loudly whilst Xiong was asleep. Xiong dyed Loak's hair pink in retaliation. [1]

Loak was killed with the rest of the crew of the Bombay when the ship was destroyed whilst defending the Ravanar IV settlement from a Tholian attack. [1]
