Jake was a civilian who lived aboard the Enterprise-D in 2366. He played a practical joke on his brother Willie, making him think that he had killed Jake. Willie was so afraid that he hid amongst some Cove Palm plants; the parasites in the plants poisoned Willie, requiring treatment at a Starbase. Unfortunately the ship was diverted by Lieutenant Commander Data due to a homing signal transmitted by his creator, Dr. Soong. The ship was ultimately able to reach Starbase 416 in time. [1]
