A Cardassian military officer, Ari was a member of the dissident faction which opposed the Obsidian Order. When Legate Ghemor became convinced that Major Kira was his daughter, he had Ari try to smuggle her off Cardassia to escape the Order. Ari was murdered by Entek. [1]
