Leila Kalomi was a member of the colony established on Omicron Ceti III. She came under the influence of mind altering plants, which protected her from the effects of the berthold radiation flooding the planet but removed her sense of responsibility. Leila was attracted to Commander Spock, and arranged for him to be infected by the plants so that they could pursue a relationship. Both she and Spock were ultimately freed from the effects by Captain Kirk. [1]
