A resident of Earth in the 1950s, Jack lived in the town of Carbon Creek. He was highly intelligent, but his family could not afford to send him to university. He befriended T'Mir when she was stranded on Earth during a survey mission. T'Mir raised the money to send Jack to university by selling velcro to a Human businessman. [1]
