Lemec was a Cardassian officer who served on the Federation border in 2369. [2] He attempted to force Captain Jellico to hand over the planet Minos Korva to his government, using the captured Captain Picard as a negotiating tactic. The attempt failed when Jellico had mines placed around Lemec's ships. [3]
