It's been too long since I've seen Six for me to comment, so I will keep my mouth shut there and not be noted the fool.

Re: SFDebris intro to Doctor Who
Great video
Doctor 4 is always and will always be my favorite. "jelly baby"
Tom Baker = no1 - need I say any more!!!
Christopher Eccelstone (angry doctor) = no 2
John Pertwee = Doctor on Earth, woe betide the feckers that try mess with the Doctor.
New guy is ok but I reserve judgement till I see more of Matt Smith (Stephen Moffat Stories hav been good so far)

The scene in the video of Pertwee judo-flipping those bad guys brought a smile to my face.
Re: SFDebris intro to Doctor Who
I was very nervous when I first saw the new guy because he was so young, but I think I was just knee-jerk discriminating due to his age. After seeing the first episode I was sold on him. I very much want to see his Sara Jane Adventures episode now.
But favorite Doctor? Baker, hands down. In part due to nostalgic reasons, in part to his having two of the greatest companions (Teela and Sara Jane), but Baker was so much fun. I am watching Robot right now for the first time in decades and just having all sorts of fun watching him.

Yeah, Katefan. Same with me about Smith. I had reservations. One friend of mine still hates him simply because she loved Tennant so much. She's a relatively new fan, though. And never been through a regeneration before.

I prefer Smith by a mile. No idea why. As for a favourite, i grew up on the reruns of Sylvester McCoy and so he is probably my favourite.

I absolutely detested Smith at first, but I've really come around to him. Baker's still my fave, though.

Baker and McCoy are my two faves, but McCoy a lot of that has to do with Ace.

Really? I've always liked him - he's got a very Troughtonesque vibe to his portrayal.Mikey wrote:I absolutely detested Smith at first, but I've really come around to him.

Yeah, I have really enjoyed it so far. I think Tennant just became a bit too...Mary Sue even if that changed in he end.

Re: SFDebris intro to Doctor Who
I thought Smith was way too young when I saw pictures of him, though admittedly it makes perfect sense for the Doctor to regenerate into a younger man. Have to say, though, I was sold on my first viewing of the first episode. The whole "fish custard" thing did it, actually. Funny, quirky, and yet with a hint of how he has truly alien sensibilities in that Human-looking body... that was classic Doctor Who.
Give a man a fire, and you keep him warm for a day. SET a man on fire, and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life...

Well, almost every Doctor's been younger than before except... five to six?

A bit of interference from the Time Lords. They chose his body that time, after all.
